Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga builds homes in partnership with low-income families because we believe that all of God’s children deserve to have a decent place to call home.
Our society has many troubles these days, but no matter what each of us believes is true about God or religion, we can all agree that no one should have to live in a home that is unsafe or that is so expensive for those on lower incomes that they have to choose between shelter, food, medical care or transportation.
Habitat imagines a Chattanooga where people of all backgrounds work alongside those who need a step up in life to create a brighter future now, and to launch a ripple of stability that passes down to the next generation.
Because of support from people like you, Habitat helps about eight families a year become homeowners. Owning a home is a crucial step towards the long-term sustainability of a family. It brings hope, stability, self-respect, to a family. These benefits spill over into every area of a family’s life.
